Terms of Service
Last updated 2 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Bryan LYT for using SaveSearch (the website, the iPhone app, the Chrome extension and the iPhone Shortcut). By creating an account you accept them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
The service
SaveSearch saves links you choose and keeps a text snapshot of what they point to so you can search them later. Some sites and platforms only let us capture part of a page, or just the link; every save says how much we captured. SaveSearch is in beta: features may change, and we may pause or end parts of the service, telling you in advance where we can.
Your account
You need to be at least 13 (or the age of digital consent where you live). Keep access to your email secure: anyone who can read it can sign in. You are responsible for what is saved in your account.
Your content stays yours
You own your notes and collections. You give us only the permission we need to store, process and show them back to you to run the service. We do not sell your content or use it to advertise.
What you may save, and how you may use it
- SaveSearch is for private, personal use. Text we capture from other sites is a snapshot to help you find things again; it is not yours to republish, and you may not resell, redistribute or publicly share captured content.
- Do not use SaveSearch to break the law, infringe others’ rights, store illegal material, or harm the service — for example by scraping, overloading it, probing its security, or getting around its limits.
- Do not try to make SaveSearch log in to other services or get around paywalls; it never does, and it never asks for your passwords for other services.
Copyright and takedowns
We capture text, not media: we never download or mirror videos or images beyond a small thumbnail. If you believe something stored in SaveSearch infringes your rights, email bryan@foundercreate.com with the link, what you own, and how to reach you. We respond within 5 working days, remove material where the claim is valid, and close the accounts of repeat infringers.
Your data is portable
You can export everything you saved — links, notes, collections and captured text — at any time from Settings, in JSON, CSV and Markdown. Export is free on every plan and never conditional. We will keep it that way.
Plans and payment
SaveSearch is free for your first 100 saves, with no time limit. Pro costs US$3.99 a month or US$39.99 a year on the website (in the iPhone app, the price the App Store shows for your country), and lets you keep saving, up to 3,000 saves a month. For a limited time, early adopters can buy Pro for life on the website for a one-time US$99.99: it never renews, and gives Pro for as long as SaveSearch runs. Once that offer closes it will not be offered again.
- A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. Cancel any time: for the website, in Settings → Manage subscription; for the iPhone app, in your iPhone’s Settings. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
- Payments on the website are handled by Stripe, and in the iPhone app by Apple. We never see your card details. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple; for website payments, email us. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
- If we change the price, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you.
- If your subscription ends, everything you saved stays readable, searchable and exportable; only new saves past the free limit pause.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings; it can be restored for 14 days, then it is gone. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it. If we ever shut the service down, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice to export your library.
No warranty, and limits on liability
SaveSearch is provided “as is” during the beta. We work hard to keep every save safe, but we cannot promise the service will always be available or that every link can be captured. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or AUD 50 if you paid nothing). Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. If we have a disagreement, contact us first at bryan@foundercreate.com and we will try to resolve it within 30 days. If we cannot, the courts of Western Australia have jurisdiction, without taking away any right you have to bring a claim where you live or any protection you have under the Australian Consumer Law or your local consumer law.
Changes to these terms
We will tell you in the product or by email before a material change applies. If you keep using SaveSearch after that, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can export your library and delete your account.
